Ayushi Shah, LMHC
Therapy with me is a space to take the mask off. We work together to slow the noise, name what’s been unspoken, and make sense of the parts of you that feel stuck, silenced, or split. I don't believe in forcing insight or rushing healing. Instead, I bring curiosity, nuance, and collaboration into the room—so we can figure out what healing actually looks like for you.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and Washington, now based in Mumbai and working with clients virtually across the U.S., India, and internationally. I earned my master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and have spent over six years supporting people through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, burnout, trauma, and the quiet grief of feeling disconnected from oneself.
My approach is integrative and adaptive—pulling from evidence-based modalities while remaining deeply intuitive. I work extensively with clients exploring identity, including those navigating gender, sexuality, cultural complexity, and family expectations. Growing up in a space where mental health wasn’t often talked about, I know how transformative it can be to finally be in a room where you don’t have to explain everything—where you just get to be.
